At Canton Fair, maximize every minute with the help of WeChat, from arriving at the booth to follow-up.

You're on the floor, and the aisles are packed. The booths that matter give you seconds, not minutes.

Here's how WeChat helps you make each one count, from the first scan to the follow-up.

Save the supplier and the samples

At one booth, two samples stand out, and the supplier looks worth working with for seasons to come. If you only have 30 seconds before moving on, add them as a contact now.

Since you've met in person, you can set an Alias, add a Tag to group them, or leave a Remark, so the details are still there when you follow up weeks later.

Link an international card to Weixin Pay before the fair, and pay for the samples at the booth. Product and person stay linked, and you have a direct line for anything that follows.

Check the details and follow through

WeChat’s tools help at the counter and every step after.

● Scan: The price list is in Chinese, so open Scan to translate the text on the sheet.

● Translation: When you have something hard to explain, search for WeTranslate Mini Program, which works as your translator in the conversation.

● Voice Input: After adding your supplier on WeChat, use voice input to ask about supply in English. It's sent as a text, ready for them to translate.

● Favorites: Long-press the quotation file or their written confirmation, and save it to Favorites for easy reference later.

● Group Call: To settle the minimum order quantity in the group chat, bring your team and your supplier onto a group call and get everyone aligned.

Find your way to the next meeting

Twenty minutes to go, and you still need to find the booth for your next meeting. Open the Canton Fair Mini Program, search for the exhibitor and follow the map to the stand.

Mini Programs help beyond the hall too. If you're meeting a supplier across town, they cover public transport and ride-hailing without downloading anything else. If you want a coffee before the meeting, scan the Mini Program Code at the counter to order.

If a Mini Program opens in Chinese, tap the three dots in the top-right corner to translate it into any of the 26 supported languages.

Make every day on the floor count

During the 140th Canton Fair this year, Weixin Pay has service desks at the Registration Hall (1F, Hall D) and at Booth 12-4 in Area B. If you need any help with WeChat on the floor, stop by either one.

Work the floor with WeChat, and the payoff is clear: suppliers saved, details confirmed, your team on board and the next steps just a message away.
